Beef fillet à la Tafelspitz

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 450 g beef fillet(s) (beef fillet head)
  • 500 ml beef broth
  • 1 small jar of extra horseradish (140 g)
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 cup sour cream (200 g)
  • e.g. salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Bring the broth to a boil. Add the fillet to the broth and simmer for 30 minutes. Then remove the fillet and keep warm. Add the horseradish, fish sauce, lime juice, and sour cream to the broth and simmer for about 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Cut the fillet into 2 cm thick slices and briefly place them in the broth. Serve immediately.
