Ingredients

  • 2 Beef leg slices
  • Mustard medium hot
  • Roasted lavender flowers
  • Salt from the mill
  • Pepper from the grinder
  • Port red
  • Vegetable broth
  • Boiled potatoes
  • 0,5 Broccoli
  • Food starch
  • 2 Celery sticks
  • 2 Red peppers
  • 1 Red Onion

Instructions

  • While shopping, I discovered wonderful beef leg slices. I had an appetite for good beef, but had no real clue how to cook it. So I took it with me and tried it ...
  • Wash the leg slices, pat dry and cut into the side edges (otherwise they will curl when frying). Wash the celery and cut into small pieces. Likewise the peppers, but peel them first (for example with a peeler). Peel the onion and cut into large pieces.
  • Season the beef slices with salt and pepper and rub the mustard in well, then sprinkle the roasted lavender blossoms over them and massage in a biscuit. Put in the fridge for an hour (still had some of the flowers and thought it might fit) Take out of the cooler 30 minutes before preparing.
  • Sear the slices in hot fat in the pressure cooker, add the peppers and celery and fry them briefly. Deglaze with port wine and then add vegetable stock until the meat is covered. Close the lid and cook for about 20 minutes. Get off the plate and let cool.
  • Remove the leg slices and keep them warm. Mix in a little cornstarch and use it to thicken the sauce, (if necessary, add salt and pepper to taste).
  • We also had boiled potatoes and broccoli (with roasted breadcrumbs ... njam njam). Good Appetite 🙂
  • PS: Since it was an attempt I forgot to take pictures. I'll hand it in next time.
