Beef Minute Steak Sandwich

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 minute steak(s) of beef
  • ½ onion(s)
  • 1 piece(s) of flatbread(s), toast, bread, as desired
  • 50 g mixed leaf salad
  • ½ tomato(s)
  • 1 tsp pesto, green
  • 1 tsp sour cream
  • 10 g garlic butter
  • BBQ sauce, optional
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Remove the meat from the refrigerator to allow it to come to room temperature. Preheat the oven to 100°C (fan/convection oven). Season the meat with salt and pepper only at the end. Slice the onion and fry it in a little butter until golden yellow. When the onions have reached the desired color, keep it warm in a container. While the onions are frying, wash the lettuce and slice the tomatoes. Now place the bread in the oven. Fry the minute steaks in a little oil, ideally in the same pan as the onions. Depending on the thickness, 1-2 minutes on each side is enough to keep the meat tender. Shortly before the end of cooking, add a little garlic butter to the pan and pour it over the meat. Set the pan aside so the meat can cook a little longer and the juices are distributed throughout the meat. Season the meat with a little pepper on both sides. Meanwhile, top the bread. First, spread some pesto on the bottom, then arrange the tomatoes and lettuce on top. Spread sour cream on top; if you like, you can also add a little BBQ sauce. Place the meat on the salad and the onions on top of the meat. Then pour the pan juices over the meat.
