Beef Onion Goulash

The perfect beef onion goulash recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Beef goulash
  • 500 g Onion
  • 6 Garlic cloves
  • 3 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 0,5 l Water
  • Chilli pepper
  • Freshly ground caraway seeds
  • Lemon zest
  • Sweet paprika
  • Salt and pepper
  • 0,5 tsp Lemon juice
  • Clarified butter for frying
  1. Get the butter lard in the saucepan hot. to let.
  2. In the meantime, peel the onion and kmo garlic and cut into rings.
  3. Sear the goulash all around and take it out of the pot, then add the onions and garlic to the pot and sweat well.
  4. Add the meat and season with the tomato paste and deglaze with water.
  5. Chop the chilli pepper and add the spices, let it stew for approx. 90 minutes.
  6. Stir every now and then and add seasoning if necessary at the end of the cooking time. Thickening is not necessary, as the onions boil over in this way and ensure an ideal consistency.
