Beef sausage Pfirschbacher style

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 beef sausages
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 8 slices of processed cheese
  • e.g. ketchup or salsa sauce
  • e.g. curry powder
  • 1 tbsp oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 6 minutes; Total time approx. 16 minutes

small quick snack

Halve the sausages lengthwise. Slit the ends so they fan out when cooked, and cut crosswise into the sausage skin. Peel the onion and slice into rings. Fry the sausages on both sides in a pan. Place the sausage halves on 4 plates, divide the onions between the sausages, and top with ketchup or salsa, if desired. Place the cheese on the sausages and sprinkle with curry powder, if desired. Microwave for 1 minute at 600W. Serve with dark farmhouse bread.
