Beef with pepper strips

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g beef fillet(s)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 3 bell peppers, red, green, yellow
  • 2 spring onions
  • 1 piece(s) ginger root
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sherry
  • 1 tbsp honey

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Cut the fillet into thin strips. Mix with starch, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce. Marinate for 10 minutes. Clean the bell peppers and cut into strips. Cut the spring onions into larger pieces. Sauté the fillet in hot oil in a wok. Add half of the ginger and garlic, fry briefly, then remove everything. Sauté the bell peppers and onions in the frying fat, then add the remaining garlic and ginger. Add the meat and season with soy sauce, vinegar, sherry, honey, and the remaining sesame oil.
