Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g beef (e.g. rump steak, fillet, etc.)
- 5 carrots
- 2 kohlrabi
- 1 zucchini
- 5 tbsp soy sauce, dark
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 some pepper (ground Szechuan pepper)
- 2 spring onions
- 1 stalk(s) leek
- 1 stalk(s) Celery
- 4 tbsp oil (peanut oil)
- 1 tbsp sauce (garlic sauce)
- ¼ tsp galangal
- 1 tsp brown sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 6 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 6 minutes
Asian wok dish
Cut the beef into thin strips and marinate with 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, sugar, a little ground Szechun peppercorn and garlic sauce and let stand for about 30 minutes. Cut the vegetables into thin strips, cut the leek, celery and spring onions into thin slices. Heat the wok on high and add 2 tbsp peanut oil to the wok. Add the marinated meat to the wok and fry for about 2 minutes, remove the meat from the wok and keep warm. Add the rest of the peanut oil to the hot wok and add the vegetables, add the soy sauce, oyster sauce and galangal and stir-fry for about 3 minutes. Finally, add the meat back in and heat briefly.
