Beef with Vietnamese coriander and spring onions

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g lean beef
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp white pepper
  • 1 tsp flour
  • oil
  • 2 spring onions
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 bunch of fresh Vietnamese coriander

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Vietnamese coriander (Polygonum odoratum)

First, mix together the fish sauce and pepper. Add the flour, which will serve as the marinade for the meat. Cut the beef into very thin strips and add it to the marinade. Once everything is well blended, marinate for about 30 minutes. Heat oil in a wok and fry the chopped onion and garlic. Now add the meat. It shouldn’t brown, so stir constantly. Once the meat is just cooked, add the roughly chopped cilantro and the sliced ​​spring onions. Mix everything well and cook for a few more seconds.
