Bentheimer Landschwein with Potato and Turnip Mash and Broccoli with Almonds

The perfect bentheimer landschwein with potato and turnip mash and broccoli with almonds recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For the marinade:

  • 1 kg Potatoes
  • 500 g Turnip
  • 200 g Butter
  • 2 Pc. Broccoli
  • 150 g Almond sticks
  • Butter
  • Nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper
  • 5 Pc. Bay leaves
  • 2 Pr Curry
  • 6 Pc. Onions
  • 80 ml Soy sauce
  • 2 tsp Tabasco
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 4 Pc. Garlic cloves
  • 120 ml Sesame oil
  1. Put the pork in marinade the evening before. For the marinade, chop the onions, chop the garlic and mix with sesame oil, honey, Tabasco, soy sauce and curry. Cut the fillet into 4 cm wide pieces and place in a sealable dish. Top up with the sauce and add the bay leaf. Close the mold and put the meat in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours.
  2. Before dinner, peel the potatoes and dice the turnip. Cook everything in salted water for about 20 minutes. Add butter and some milk and mash. Then season with salt and nutmeg.
  3. Separate the broccoli florets and cook. Carefully roast the almonds in a little butter until golden brown and pour over the broccoli.
  4. Cook the pork in the pan for about 10 minutes on both sides.
