Side Dish: Potato – Broccoli – Mash

The perfect side dish: potato – broccoli – mash recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 5 medium sized Potatoes
  • 1 medium sized Broccoli
  • 20 g Butter
  • Salt
  • Nutmeg a.d.M
  1. Peel and wash the potatoes. Wash the broccoli and cut off the florets, then divide the stem and cook everything in salted water. Simply cook the broccoli on top of the potatoes, this saves you from having to cook the broccoli separately and protects the vitamins.
  2. When the potatoes and broccoli are done, then drain and add the butter in small flakes, season with salt and nutmeg and mash everything well. I intentionally didn’t use milk as the broccoli is moist enough.
  3. There were also fried sausages and a crispy salad. Since the broccoli is not everything in the potatoes, it was served as a side dish and has also become empty.
  4. Lunch on the balcony is always something nice and, at these temperatures, just the thing.
