Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g Limburger or Romadur cheese
  • 3 gherkins
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 onion(s), alternatively leek or spring onions
  • 2 tsp, heaped capers
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • n. B. Caraway

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 20 minutes

Slice the cheese and gherkins into strips. Dice the tomatoes (without cores) and onion (or thinly slice the leeks or spring onions). Mix everything together, then season with capers, oil, salt, pepper, and caraway seeds. Let it marinate well—preferably overnight. Whole-grain bread goes well with this.
