Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g minced beef
  • 150 g minced pork
  • 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 125 ml cream
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 5 potatoes
  • 5 onions
  • 200 ml beer
  • 30 g butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp caraway seeds, ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Mix the minced meat and fry briefly with a little pepper and salt. Mix the breadcrumbs with cream and a little water and let it swell for about 10 minutes, then combine with the meat, egg, salt, caraway seeds, and pepper. Peel the potatoes and onions, slice each, and fry lightly separately. Butter a baking dish and fill it in layers with warm potatoes, onions, and meat mixture, with the bottom and top layers consisting of potatoes. Pour beer over the mixture and scatter butter flakes over the surface. Bake in a preheated oven at about 200°C for about 30 minutes.
