Biene's cabbage rolls

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 large white cabbage
  • 1 kg minced meat
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • Spice mix for minced meat
  • Breadcrumbs
  • gravy
  • Water
  • Flour
  • Fat

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Remove the leaves from the white cabbage, remove the stalks, and then briefly place the leaves in hot water to make them nice and pliable. In the meantime, finely chop the onion and mix it with the minced meat, spices, breadcrumbs, and eggs. Wrap the minced meat in the white cabbage leaves (tuck the sides of the leaves in the middle to make nice parcels). Secure with string or a roulade fork. Heat a pan with fat. Briefly coat the roulades in flour and then fry in the hot fat. Briefly deglaze with water (the roulades should be at least half covered with water). Season briefly with salt and pepper, and then simmer for a good 35-40 minutes. Season the sauce with meat juices and, if necessary, thicken again with a gravy thickener if the consistency is still too runny. Potatoes are particularly good with this!
