Bifteki-Greek Meatballs with Sheep Cheese Filling

The perfect bifteki-greek meatballs with sheep cheese filling recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 kg Ground beef
  • 1 piece Clove of garlic
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tbsp Breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp Greek spice mix
  • 0,25 tsp Dried thyme
  • 1 tbsp Rapeseed oil
  • 150 g Feta cheese
  • Salt and pepper
  1. Peel off the garlic clove and chop finely. Put the minced meat, egg, breadcrumbs, spice mixture, salt and pepper in a bowl and knead well.
  2. Divide the minced meat mixture into 12 portions, place on a worktop. Cut the feta cheese into small coarse pieces. Distribute the feta pieces on the minced meat and press down a little. Sprinkle the thyme on the feta. Form into meatballs with damp hands.
  3. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the Bifteki all over. I also had a salad sprinkled with the rest of the feta cheese.
