Birthday Sour Cream Cake
The perfect birthday sour cream cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
For the shortcrust pastry we need:
- 200 g Spelled flour
- 65 g Sugar
- 1,5 tsp Vanilla sugar
- 80 g Butter
- 1 Egg
- 0,5 P. Baking powder
Ingredients for the topping:
- 150 g Sugar
- 2 P. Vanilla custard powder
- 0,5 l Milk
- 2 a cup Sour cream [fat content 24%]
- 2 a cup Sour cream [fat content 10%]
- 2 Cans Mandarins
Finally:
- 1 bag White cake topping
- First, the dough ingredients are made into a kneading dough and parked in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
- In the meantime, we cook a custard from the specified ingredients – i.e. from 2 p. Vanilla pudding powder and half a liter of milk as well as the sugar. Let cool a little and in the meantime drain the mandarins.
- Put 2 / 3 of the dough into a springform pan after the cooling phase and press one edge with the remaining 1/
- Stir the 4 cups of sour cream / sour cream into the slightly cooled pudding and pour onto the prepared dough. Cover with the drained mandarins and bake in the preheated oven at 175 ° for about 60 minutes.
- Let cool in the mold and then cover with the cake topping.
- The cake tastes best when it can sit through for 2 days! So ideal for preparation – then there is no stress on the birthday! Good succeed!
- PS: even if there are about 25 lazy women cakes here (don’t even know why it’s called that) – mine is the best !!!! ;-)))
