Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g flour
  • 50 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 60 g butter
  • 15 g yeast, fresh
  • 150 g natural yogurt, 3.5%
  • 150 ml water, warm
  • 1 packet of Bourbon vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 tsp, heaped powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp, heaped cocoa
  • maple syrup

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Melt the butter. Mix the natural yogurt, sugar, and water. Crumble in the yeast and let it rise briefly. Combine the flour, vanilla sugar, eggs, salt, and lukewarm, melted butter in a bowl. Add the yeast mixture and mix until a smooth dough forms. Let it rise for 30 minutes. Pour half of the dough into a bowl. Sift the powdered sugar and cocoa powder and stir in. Pour one portion each of the white and black batters into the waffle iron and bake at low heat until golden brown. Serve with maple syrup.
