Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 can of beans, black, drained, approx. 250 g or 100 g dried beans
  • 10 g cocoa powder
  • 40 g oat flakes, fine
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 85 g maple syrup or agave syrup or honey
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 40 g oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 100 g chocolate drops, vegan

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

vegan, for a baking pan of 20 x 20 cm, makes about 10 brownies

If using dried beans, soak them overnight and then cook until tender. Drained canned beans can be used straight away. Blend all ingredients except the chocolate chips in a good blender until smooth. Add the chocolate chips. Spread the mixture into a baking dish. Since this is an American recipe, the amount is for a 20 x 20 cm dish. It will also fit in a 24 cm springform pan, or double to 2.5 times the amount for a regular baking sheet, depending on how thick or thin you like your brownies. Sprinkle the brownies with extra chocolate chips, if desired. Bake the brownies in a preheated oven at 170 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) top/bottom heat for about 15 minutes and let them cool completely before cutting. If necessary, let them set a little in the refrigerator. I will only reveal the main ingredient after eating. If honey is used, the recipe is no longer vegan. Makes about 10 brownies.
