Black beans (Afroandino)

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g beans, black, dried
  • 3 tbsp, heaped soup seasoning, unsalted
  • n. B. water

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 12 hours 15 minutes

from the pressure cooker, cooked in 8 minutes.

Soak the beans overnight. Discard the bean water. Place the beans in a pressure cooker with the soup seasoning. Caution: Do not add salt. Cover the beans with at least 2 cm of water. Bring to a boil once. Then close the lid. Cook under full pressure for 8 minutes. Remove from the heat and immediately allow the pressure to release (steam). Now you can either process the beans further (e.g. with onions and garlic) or allow them to cool. You can now do anything with the beans. For chili or as a vegetable, etc. Tip: I freeze the beans in portions.
