Sweet and sour lentil vegetables

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g lentils
  • 1 bunch of soup vegetables
  • salt and pepper
  • 150 g potatoes
  • 150 g smoked bacon
  • 2 small onions
  • Vinegar
  • Sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the lentils with the chopped vegetables in a little water (just enough to cover). Halfway through the cooking time, add the chopped potatoes. Sauté the bacon and onions and add them. Season to taste with vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper, and thicken if desired. Serve with bratwurst or fried slices of smoked pork.
