Black Forest Dessert Way I Do It

- 200 g Chocolate sponge cake – homemade or bought ready-made
- 300 g Sour cherries, drained
- 400 g Whipped cream
- 50 ml Kirsch
- 1 packet Bourbon vanilla sugar
- Grated chocolate
- Cut the cake into cubes with an edge length of approx. 1 cm and let them dry in the 80 ° C warm tube (so that it can soak up kirsch). If you don’t want to put so much cherry juice in the cake, then don’t dry it.
- Fill the cake cubes into glasses, soak them with a little kirsch – ATTENTION, not so much that the cake turns into a mushy mass. Put a thin layer of the cream whipped with the vanilla sugar on top, then spread the cherries – which you can also marinate with kirsch water beforehand.
- Fill the glasses with the rest of the cream and sprinkle with grated chocolate. If the children eat with you, leave out kirsch, possibly soak the cake with a little sour cherry juice from the Komserve.
