Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 900 g blackberries, freshly picked
- 300 g gelling sugar, 3:1
- 4 cl pear brandy
- 2 lemons, juice
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
with pear brandy
Collect blackberries in areas with as little pollution as possible. They ripen in late summer. Carefully clean the blackberries. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a boil, and simmer for about 10 minutes. Crush some of the blackberries if necessary. Test for settling. Pour the blackberry jam into prepared, hot-rinsed jars, seal them immediately, and turn them upside down. Store the blackberry jam in a cool, dark place. You will need about 5-6 screw-top jars (depending on size). The jam cooks quickly. In addition to the preparation time, you should also factor in picking time and jar-washing time.
