Blackberry – Orange – Jam

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 oranges, one of which is untreated
  • 900 g blackberries
  • 1 sachet of Gelfix 3:1
  • 350 g sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Rinse the untreated orange with hot water, pat dry, then peel the zest in fine strips using a zester. Juice both oranges. Measure 80 ml of juice. Combine the gelling agent and sugar in a large saucepan, add the orange juice and zest, and the prepared blackberries. Bring to a boil over high heat while stirring. Cook for at least 3 minutes. If necessary, skim the jam with a slotted spoon. Immediately pour into prepared jars, seal tightly, invert the jars, and let cool completely on the lids. Makes 4-5 jars of 250 ml each.
