the tastiest and easiest plum jam recipe from my grandma – no added sugar

Score the plums along the seam and remove the stones. Layer them in a roasting pan. Stir in the cinnamon, put the cloves in a tea infuser, and cover with the plums. Cook uncovered in the oven at 180°C for about 2 hours until smooth. Stir occasionally. Remove the roasting pan from the oven and remove the tea infuser with the cloves. Purée with a hand blender (I like it a little less vigorous). Immediately fill jars and seal. The purée contains no added sugar, making it suitable for diabetics, dieters, and those on a carbohydrate-free diet. If desired, you can add a squeezed lemon or half a teaspoon of gingerbread spice instead of the cinnamon. I’ve also added 4 cl of rum at the end of the cooking time or fresh peppermint leaves to the jars. You can refine it to your taste.
