Blackberry-pear jam

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g pear(s)
  • 200 g blackberries
  • 2 limes, the juice
  • 600 g gelling sugar
  • 1 tbsp rosemary
  • 3 tbsp schnapps (fruit water)

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

Peel and core the pears, and slice them into wafer-thin slices. Combine the pears, the washed blackberries, the juice of both limes, and the preserving sugar and let stand for about 1 hour. Finally, add the rosemary and simmer for 3-4 minutes. If desired, refine the jam with 3-4 tablespoons of fruit water and then fill into hot, rinsed twist-off jars.
