Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 pkt. rice (500 g)
  • 500 g pork
  • 3 large onions
  • 500 g carrot(s)
  • 3 bay leaves
  • salt and pepper
  • ¾ jar oil
  • 4 glasses of water

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour

rice dish

Cut the pork into pieces. Peel the onions and slice into thin rings. Peel the carrots and coarsely grate them. Heat 3/4 of a glass of oil in a large (!) pot. Add the meat and fry on high. When the meat is browned, add the onion rings and fry briefly on high again. Now add the rice and carrots and mix well. Add 4 full glasses of water, salt, pepper, and bay leaves to the pot and wait until everything is boiling. When everything is boiling, put the lid on the pot and turn the heat down to low (I used level 4, for example). Let everything simmer for about 30 minutes – do not lift the lid (although I don’t know what happens if you lift the lid). Serve hot.
