Blueberry iced tea

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 liters of water
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tea bags (forest fruit)
  • 3 tea bags, green
  • 300 g blueberries or bilberries

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 45 minutes

Place the water and 3-6 tablespoons of sugar in a saucepan on the stove and slowly bring to a boil. Pierce the blueberries once with a sharp knife and add them to the water. Once the water is hot, add the tea bags and let them steep. Be careful not to let the tea bags boil, so remove them beforehand. Let the tea simmer for half an hour. Let the tea rest until completely cooled, then strain it through a fine sieve (preferably through a linen cloth to avoid any “bits” in the tea). Pour the iced tea into bottles and refrigerate.
