Blueberry syrup

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1,000 g blueberries
  • 1,000 g sugar
  • 2 lemons
  • 350 ml water

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 15 minutes

Ideal for children

Wash and dry the blueberries, then puree them in a pot using a hand blender. Then add the water, sugar, and lemon juice. Bring everything to a boil and simmer over low heat for about an hour. Then let it cool in the pot overnight. The next day, heat it up again slightly and then strain it through a fine sieve. Pour the syrup into hot, rinsed bottles (swing-top bottles are best) and refrigerate. The syrup will keep for a few months in the refrigerator. My boys love to drink it with cold mineral water in the summer.
