Bohemian dumplings

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 325 g flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 5 g yeast, fresh
  • 125 ml milk
  • 3 rolls, or 100 – 150 g breadcrumbs
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 40 g butter
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Knead flour, eggs, yeast, and milk into a dough. Let it rise for 30 minutes. Dice the onion and bread rolls and fry them in butter. Knead the dough with parsley and salt. Form into a roll about 7 cm thick. Place in boiling, lightly salted water. Let it stand for 15 minutes on each side. Serve: Cut into 2 cm thick slices. Delicious with any meat dish rich in sauce, but also with mushroom sauces.
