Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 stalk(s) Celery
  • 100 g bacon, or regular streaky bacon
  • 300 g minced beef
  • 125 ml broth
  • 1 shot of red wine
  • 1 can of chopped tomatoes (400 g)
  • 400 g pasta
  • salt and pepper
  • oregano
  • chili powder
  • Parmesan, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Finely chop the onion, carrots, celery, and bacon. Brown the bacon in a large, deep pan, add the vegetables and brown briefly, then push the vegetables to the side of the pan. Fry the minced meat in the center of the pan until crumbly. Deglaze with stock and red wine and mix everything together. Add the tomatoes, including their juice. Whole canned tomatoes should be crushed. Stir everything together and season with salt, pepper, and any other spices you like, such as oregano, chili, etc. Be careful not to add too much salt! The bacon will already make the sauce a little salty. Simmer on low heat for at least 15 minutes. It’s fine if the sauce simmers for an hour. Cook the pasta until al dente and serve with the sauce. Freshly grated Parmesan cheese goes well with it.
