Bolognese A`la Don

The perfect bolognese a`la don recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Ground beef
  • 2 Pc. Red onion
  • 2 Pc. Carrots
  • 150 g Celery
  • 3 Pc. Garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon Finely chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1 Teaspoon (level) Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon (level) Sweet paprika
  • 1 pinch Black pepper from the mill
  • 3 tablespoon Cold pressed olive oil
  • 1 Pint Red wine lovely
  • 2 small Canned Pizza Tomatoes
  • 250 ml Vegetable broth
  • 1 pinch Chilli to taste
  • 4 Tablespoon (level) Tomato paste concentrated three times
  • 5 Tablespoon (level) Chopped basil
  1. Finely dice the vegetables and put the spices in a bowl. Fry the minced meat in oil (I use a potato masher and mash the mince so as not to get any lumps), then sweat the tomato paste with it. When everything has turned color, add the vegetables (without basil) and continue frying until the onions are slightly liquid. Deglaze with the red wine and add the pizza tomatoes, then pour in the broth. approx. 2 hours !!! simmer on a low level. Then stir in the cut basil. Serve with pasta of your choice and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. ………………………………………….. ………………………………………….. ………….
