Bolognese ragù

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • some oil
  • 1 can of tomatoes
  • 1 tube(s) Tomato paste
  • 1 carrot(s)
  • 1 piece(s) celeriac
  • some oregano
  • some salt and pepper
  • rosemary
  • possibly peperoncini to taste

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Finely chop the onion and garlic and fry in oil until golden brown. Add the minced meat and fry until the minced meat has taken on a nice brown color all over. Finely dice the carrot and celery and fry briefly. Then add the canned tomatoes and tomato paste and pour in enough water to just cover everything. Simmer gently on low heat for 1.5-2 hours. Then add the herbs, and if you like it a bit spicier, the finely chopped chili pepper. Season with salt and pepper and let simmer for a while longer. After 2-2.5 hours, you have a wonderful Bolognese. You can also freeze it and thaw it again when needed. You can also add a little cream; that tastes good too.
