Bolognese sauce for those in a hurry

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 carrot(s)
  • 1 piece(s) celeriac
  • 1 stalk(s) leek
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • ½ liter tomato(s), pureed (jar or tetrapak)
  • ½ kg minced beef
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 1 anchovy fillet(s), pickled
  • 1 chili pepper(s) or chili powder
  • olive oil
  • Salt
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Finely chop the vegetables, herbs, and anchovy fillets in a food processor. Brown the ground beef in olive oil, add the vegetable mixture, and cook until browned. Pour in the passata and bring to a boil. Since the vegetables are so small, you can simmer the sauce for as long as you like, depending on your hunger and time. The sauce takes on a great consistency and can be seasoned to taste. It includes pasta, of course! I used to make this Bolognese sauce for my kids all the time. First, it was quick to prepare, which is important for working mothers who need to get something on the table in a hurry for their hungry gang at lunch. Second, it helped the kids eat the unpopular vegetables because they were “invisible.” Of course, the whole thing tastes great without meat, too!
