Bolognese sauce with grated carrots

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 300 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 small onion(s), chopped
  • 1 small carrot(s), grated
  • 2 tomato paste
  • 250 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 can of pizza tomatoes
  • 2 tsp vegetable stock powder
  • Paprika powder
  • salt and pepper
  • garlic powder
  • Maggi
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Brown the minced meat in oil until well browned, but do not overcook. Add the tomato paste just before the end of cooking. Remove from the pan and fry the grated carrots and onion, not overcooking. After about 5 minutes, add the minced meat back in and fry everything together for about 1 minute. Add the passata, pizza tomatoes, and vegetable stock. Simmer for about 30 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and Maggi, and simmer for about 10 more minutes.
