Braised Chicken Liver with Mashed Potatoes

Braised chicken livers

  • 500 g Chicken liver
  • 4 Charlotte
  • 2 Red peppers Turkish
  • 3 tablespoon Paprika pulp
  • 1 Garlic clove chopped
  • 1 Chopped hot peppers
  • 2 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 1 Orange
  • Salt
  • Black pepper from the mill
  • Water

Mashed potatoes

  • 700 g Baked potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon Chopped parsley
  • 0,5 Garlic clove chopped
  • 10 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 teaspoon Paprika powder
  • Salt
  • Black pepper from the mill

Braised chicken livers

  1. Rinse and pat dry the chicken livers. Dice the peppers and the charlottes.
  2. Sear the chicken livers. Reduce the heat and add the charlottes. Fry with the paprika pulp for about 5 minutes. Add a coffee pot of water and the juice of the orange. Add the paprika, chili peppers, garlic and basil and let simmer for 25 minutes at a low temperature.
  3. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Mashed potatoes

  1. Bake the potatoes in the oven at 250 degrees. Peel hot and mash with a fork. Add the olive oil, parsley, garlic and paprika and mix well.
  2. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
