Braised onion meat from the oven

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 pork neck steaks
  • 2 large onions
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 100 ml water
  • 100 ml vinegar
  • 200 ml red wine
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp paprika powder, hot

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes

Dice the onions and place half in a fireproof dish. Rub the meat with the mixed spices and place it on top of the onions in the dish. Mix the remaining onions with the remaining spice mix, stir in the chopped/pressed garlic, and spread everything over the meat. Combine the water, vinegar, and wine and pour into the dish. Braise at 180°C (convection oven) for about 90 minutes. Check the amount of liquid occasionally.
