Braised onion mince

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 5 onions
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 500 g minced beef
  • 500 g potatoes
  • 350 g carrot(s)
  • 600 ml meat broth
  • 150 g peas, frozen
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • 3 tsp oregano and basil mixed
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 150 g crème fraîche

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the potatoes and carrots and cut into half-centimeter cubes. Peel the onions, quarter them, and thinly slice them. Heat the oil and sauté the onions, stirring frequently. Add the minced meat, shred it, and fry until lightly browned. Mix in the potatoes and carrots and sauté for 5 minutes. Then pour in the stock, herbs, salt, pepper, and sugar. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in the peas and tomato paste and continue sautéing until the vegetables are tender. Add more stock if desired. Season to taste and garnish with parsley and crème fraîche.
