Braised Sausage Pan

The perfect braised sausage pan recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 4 Bratwurst fine
  • 1 Fresh onion
  • 2 Clove of garlic
  • 1 Msp Caraway seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Tomato ketchup
  • 0,125 liter Water hot
  • Dried herbs
  1. First a word about braised sausage. In our area, the bratwurst is called “Schmorwurst” that is the one that also comes on the grill. The bratwurst is a sausage that is used as a topping on bread. Also known as cut-resistant Mettwurst, Braunschweiger or similar.
  2. Since I was doing trial work last week, I had to get something warm, quickly made food in the evening.
  3. First peel the potatoes and cook them until soft as usual.
  4. Then peel and finely chop the onion and garlic, cut the braised sausage into pieces. Heat a little fat in the pan, fry the stewed sausage, add the onion and garlic and roast with it.
  5. Then add the mustard and ketchup and let roast with the caraway seeds and pour hot water briefly bring to the boil, add the herbs and let it boil down a little.
  6. Taste … no need to season as the sausage was already well seasoned.
  7. I also served a kohlrabi vegetable ………….
