Bratwurst and mashed potato casserole

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 servings of mashed potatoes from the previous day
  • 6 sausages, Franconian
  • 125 g diced ham
  • 1 pack of buttered vegetables
  • 4 eggs
  • 100 g cheese, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Use leftovers for mashed potatoes and/or sausages

Fry the ham in a pan. Slice the sausages and sear briefly. Sauté the buttered vegetables in a pan with a little water, or microwave them for about 5 minutes at 600 watts. Mix the sausage slices, vegetables, and bacon cubes with the mashed potatoes and place them in a greased casserole dish. Use a spoon to make four indentations in the mashed potatoes and crack a raw egg (without the shell, of course) into each indentation. Sprinkle the grated cheese over the casserole. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for about 25 minutes.
