Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 sausages, sliced
- 200 g bacon, streaky, diced
- 1 large onion(s), diced
- 1 tbsp oil (sunflower oil)
- 3 bell peppers, red, green and yellow, cut into strips
- 1 cup port wine
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tbsp sweet mustard
- 2 cubes of stock
- salt and pepper
- Sugar
- possibly roux, nB
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
with bacon and onions
Fry the bacon in sunflower oil. Add the sausages and onions and fry until well browned. Add the peppers and fry for about 10 minutes. Deglaze with port wine and milk. Stir in the stock cube and mustard. Season with salt, pepper, and sugar and let it simmer for a while. Thicken with a roux, if desired.
