  • 250 g pepper(s), cut into strips
  • 250 g tomatoes, peeled and sliced
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • 4 bratwursts, pre-boiled
  • 4 slice(s) bacon, streaky, or 100 g bacon slices
  • 2 gherkins
  • 3 tbsp oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Peel and core the onions and bell peppers, then slice or strip them. Peel the tomatoes (briefly place them in boiling water, then rinse in cold water and peel them), then slice them. Season the vegetables with salt, pepper, and paprika and toss to combine with 2 tablespoons of oil. Set the vegetables aside. Cut the sausages, bacon (or bacon), gherkins, and tomatoes into thick slices and thread them alternately onto the skewers. Mix 1 tablespoon of oil with sweet paprika and brush the sausage skewers with it. Fry the sausage skewers in a pan until crispy, remove them, add the remaining vegetables to the pan and fry. Then place the skewers on top of the vegetables, close the lid, and simmer for another 10 minutes. Serve with rice.
