Bratwurst with Rocket and Mashed Potatoes

The perfect bratwurst with rocket and mashed potatoes recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • Approx. 1 kg large potatoes
  • Salt
  • 150 g Cherry tomatoes
  • 75 g Rocket / rocket
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 8 Salsicce, about 400 g; Italian fennel sausage; alternatively, coarse sausages
  • About 200 ml of hot milk
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • Nutmeg
  1. Peel, wash and roughly chop the potatoes. Cook in salt water for about 20 minutes. Wash and halve the tomatoes. Clean, wash and shake the rocket lettuce. Possibly pluck a little smaller.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoons of oil in a pan, fry the sausages all around for about 6 minutes. Take out and keep warm. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in the frying fat. Fry the tomatoes in it, add the rocket and fry briefly, set aside. Drain the potatoes. Add the hot milk and butter, season with salt and mash everything. Season to taste with grated nutmeg. Fold the tomato and rocket mixture into the mashed potatoes. Arrange everything on plates and serve.
