with baking powder and buttermilk, very simple
Mix the flour with the baking powder and salt. Then add the buttermilk and mix everything until it forms a sticky mass. I don’t mix it with a hand mixer, as the dough tends to rise on the beaters; I do it with a whisk by hand; that works just as well. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour. If you like, you can also add fried onions, carrots, olives, etc. I always make it with fried onions, which is delicious. Add as much as you like. I then pour the dough into a standard greased loaf pan. Then bake at 170°C (top/bottom heat) on the middle rack. After 40 minutes, test with a wooden skewer. I usually take the bread out of the oven after 35 minutes, cut it in half, and then put it back in the pan for another 5 minutes. After that, it’s done. However, the bread will only keep for 3 days.
