  • 100 g Butter
  • 70 g Sugar
  • 1,5 pinch Cinnamon

  • 8 dl Milk
  • 2 Msp Baking powder
  • 2 Msp Lemon zest
  • 1 Pc. Vanilla pod
  • Calvados
  1. 1st TIP: You can also enjoy this cake as a casserole with vanilla sauce then don’t let it cool down and leave out the baking powder.

  3. Soak raisins in calvados overnight
  4. Cut the black bread into cubes. Bring the milk with the sliced ​​vanilla pod and the scraped-out pulp and 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder to the boil. Remove from heat, remove the vanilla pod and pour over the bread cubes. Let it steep for a couple of hours.
  5. In the meantime, peel the apples, remove the core and cut into nice little pieces. Sprinkle a little calvados or lemon juice on top.

  7. Now put the cake or the casserole, depending on what you want, into the oven preheated to 200 degrees and bake for about 1 hour.
  8. If you want this as a casserole then serve hot with vanilla cream.
  9. As a cake, cool / let stand overnight in the springform pan so that it unites. Serve the cake with vanilla ice cream / sauce or cinnamon sugar depending on your taste.
