Bread dumplings from the microwave

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 12 slices of toast (whole wheat toast, half a pack)
  • 125 ml milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • some butter
  • Salt and pepper, nutmeg
  • Parsley, fresh, finely chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Crumble the whole-wheat toast into small pieces and place it in a large bowl. Chop the onion and fry it in a little butter until translucent. Add the milk, eggs, parsley, and onion to the breadcrumbs and knead everything together. Season with pepper, salt, and nutmeg. Shape into a ball, place in a microwave-safe container (1 liter capacity – preferably a Tupperware 1-liter jug), and cook with the lid on for 6 minutes at 600 watts, then for another 3 minutes at 450 watts.
