Bread dumplings gratin

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 pack of dumplings (bread dumplings, ready-made product, 6 pieces)
  • 400 g tomatoes
  • 400 g Leberkäse, sliced
  • 1 pack of frozen herbs (25 g)
  • ½ onion(s)
  • 100 g cheese, grated
  • 150 g whipped cream
  • salt and pepper
  • Fat, for the shape
  • ½ bunch chives

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the bread dumplings in salted water according to the package instructions. Meanwhile, peel and finely dice the onion. Wash, trim, and slice the tomatoes. Preheat oven to 200°C (fan oven: 200°C). Slice the cooked dumplings and layer them alternately with the tomatoes and meatloaf in a greased baking dish. Mix the cream with the diced onion, salt, pepper, and frozen herbs, and pour over the dumplings. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake the bread dumpling gratin in the oven for about 15 minutes. Cut the chives into rolls, sprinkle over the gratin, and enjoy!
