Ingredients

  • 500 g Whole wheat flour
  • 1 packet Dry yeast
  • 1 handful Pumpkin seeds
  • 50 g Yellow zucchini
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Measured well, salt
  • 4 tbsp Olive oil
  • 200 ml Lukewarm water
  • If you like, you can add a little caraway.

Instructions

  • Put the flour in the bowl, add the yeast, salt and sugar as well. Do not put salt directly on the yeast. Pour the lukewarm water on the yeast. Knead the bread first on the smallest, then one level higher. This has to be a smooth dough, takes about 6 - 7 minutes.
  • Then leave it covered until the volume has increased significantly. Then I added the chopped zucchini and the pumpkin seeds and kneaded again. Leave covered again. Volume must have increased a lot again.
  • Then preheat the oven to 185 degrees. In the meantime, put the dough in a mold, I always use silicone molds, and bake at 185 degrees for about 45 minutes. Shortly before the end of the baking time, I brush the bread with water, which I repeat 2-3 times. It'll be a little crispier. But you can also put a bowl of water in the oven.
  • That's it.
