Carefully knead the breadcrumbs, butter, salt, pepper, herbs, and spices and form into a roll. Wrap the dough in cling film and let it rest for at least 1 hour (in the refrigerator). If desired, cut into 0.5–1 cm thick slices, place on top of the food, and gratinate.
