Breaded beef tongue Asian style

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 5 slices of beef tongue from the previous day
  • 3 eggs, size M
  • 5 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 dashes fish sauce
  • 80 g panko
  • 1 tbsp, heaped clarified butter
  • 5 tbsp oil
  • e.g. lime(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Crack the eggs and mix with the fish and soy sauce. Place the flour and panko breadcrumbs in separate plates or bowls. Heat the oil and clarified butter in a pan. Coat the beef tongues first in flour, then in the egg, and finally in the panko breadcrumbs. Lightly press the panko down. Fry the breaded tongues in the pan until crispy. Serve with lime wedges.
