with crisp lettuce, tomatoes and warm turkey strips
Inspired by American fast food, I created a delicious breakfast bagel. First, preheat the oven to 170°C. Then, heat a little oil in a pan and wash the lettuce and tomato. Cut the lettuce into bagel-sized pieces and slice the tomato. Fry the turkey breast strips in a pan until they have a light brown crust (a quick sear will make the meat juicier). While the meat is cooking, split the bagels in half and place them in a bowl of water in the preheated oven for 5 minutes. Place a tablespoon of herb cream cheese in a bowl along with some ground coriander, nutmeg, and garlic. Add a generous pinch of paprika. Mix everything well. Alternatively, fresh coriander or garlic can be used. Crème fraîche can also be used instead of the cream cheese spread; just be creative. Season the turkey strips with salt and pepper and set aside. The bagels should be crispy by now and are ready to take out of the oven. Top one half of the bagel with herb-flavored cream cheese slices, spread the other half with a little herb cream, and top with lettuce, tomato slices, and turkey breast strips. You can make it faster by warming up pre-cooked turkey breast strips with the bagels.
