Britta's quick mushroom pan

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 150 g mushrooms, fresh brown or from the can
  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp broth (vegetable or other)
  • 1 ½ cups rice
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 pinch(s) of pepper
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch(s) paprika powder
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 400 ml cream
  • 150 g cheese, grated
  • 6 slice(s) ham, raw
  • 1 bunch of parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Place the 1.5 cups of rice in a pot and fill with 3 cups of water. Add the broth and simmer for about 20 minutes (covered). Keep warm. Sauté the finely chopped onions in a pan with olive oil, then add the mushrooms. Mix everything well and season. Add the cream and bring to a boil briefly. Arrange the rice on a large plate and pour over the mushroom/onion sauce. Sprinkle with cheese. Roll up the ham (you can prepare it in advance) and place it next to the pot as a side dish. Sprinkle with fresh parsley.
